Is There an Ethical MLM Company?

My Herbalife Saga...

Herbalife has been in business for nearly 30 years. The products are fine, however one has to join through their marketing company 'Online Business Systems.' These people are swilling the corporate kool aide. What I find particularly fascinating are the 'team building calls.' These people are there to spur you on to get to the Millionaire team, or some other such 'team.' These calls are weekly; and if your upline is very bossy, there are more than one call per week. There are very few Millionaire team members, and many of the more successful people have left the company for more reasonable opportunities.

My upline detested me and she cost me a sale. I asked too many questions and she interpreted that as my questioning her authority. (She is a full time Nanny and she works the phones after hours...) My prospect was interested in becoming a distributor for $69.95, however, my upline insisted on selling the woman over $230.00 of product. The upline hijacked the call and I could not get a word in at all. Of course, the poor prospect ran and she found another distributor to work with. I saved the voicemail the prospect left for me and emailed it to my coach and the upline, and I never heard from either of them again! Not ever!!!! This is an extremely unprofessional organization. Here is the message I received from my prospect (this is an .mp3 file but it is about 2 minutes in duration). I could not believe that neither my coach nor the upline ever responded to this!

The big push with OBS is always to buy advertising. Their leads are stale, and very expensive. $500.00 a clip, and they are useless.

Herbalife is a good product line, it is the people at OBS that one must deal with that are awful.

As I was growing tired of the Herbalife game, I began to research Network Marketing. Lucky for me I discovered Anne Sieg who is a wonderful marketer. So, the question I posed to myself -"is there an ethical MLM company?" I can answer by saying it depends on with whom you work, and how to not pay for things you don't need or want!!! I ditched OBS and Herbalife and am dealing with canceling the merchant account. That is another nightmare.
